Kept

Mobile Application Branding — Mobile Application Archive

About

Kept is a mobile archive app concept that turns personal memories — photos, emotions, places, dates, and notes — into a unique generative pattern, designed to be applied to physical objects like photo albums, booklets, and posters.

Kept app, hero image of the generative memory pattern

Challenge

People collect an enormous amount of personal data about their own lives — photos, emotions, places, dates, notes — but it mostly stays locked inside an app, disconnected from daily life and easy to forget. The challenge was to give that abstract, deeply personal data a physical, visual form: something a person could actually hold onto, that felt unmistakably theirs, and that no two people's archives would ever produce in quite the same way.

Solution

Concept: Built the app around a generative system that reads a user's collected data — their photos, emotions, places, dates, and notes — and translates it into a one-of-a-kind visual pattern, effectively turning a personal archive into a personal signature.
Application: Extended that generated pattern beyond the screen, designing it to be printed onto physical objects — photo albums, booklets, and posters — so a digital archive could become something tangible, kept and displayed rather than left scrolling in an app.

Result

A system that turns each user's own memory data into a unique, ownable pattern — closing the gap between a digital archive and a physical keepsake.
